Ann Gordon is responsible for the re-concepting and creative direction of branding and licensing projects for national, international and in-house marques, with a focus on fashion and retail. Ann works with senior executives, creatives and licensees across Gordon Brothers and partners to identify and help unlock brand asset opportunities. Prior to joining Gordon Brothers, Ann was a Founding Partner of the creative branding agency Blast-Off Brands, where she served as Creative Director. At Blast-Off Brands, Ann was instrumental in several high-profile branding and licensing projects, most notably serving as the Interim Creative Director for Life is Good, and as the Creative Consultant for Kodak’s global licensing arm. Before forming Blast-Off Brands, Ann served as the Conceptual Director at Brand Sense Partners and as a Conceptual Designer at the POP Studio. In those roles, Ann helped guide the creative direction for clients including Nordstrom, Target, Hudson’s Bay Company, Splendid/Ella Moss, Kenneth Cole Reaction, Le Tigre, Quiksilver, and the award-winning surf brand M.Nii.A trained fine artist, Ann began her career as an abstract painter, gallery director, art critic, and internationally renowned art blogger. She has been profiled by The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and Interview Magazine, among others. Her foundation in conceptual art and enduring obsession with fashion form the basis for her creative vision. Ann holds a B.F.A. in painting from Detroit’s Center for Creative Studies. She makes nearly all of her clothing in her home studio.
